We were surprised to see Slapshot at the Braves v. Nats game last night (4/21/09).
The GEICO President's Race takes place in the middle of the 4th inning and the Nationals mascot Screech and the Geico Gecko are usually waiting at the finish line, however, last night Slapshot joined them.

Slapshot was not introduced and no explanation given why the Presidents were running with hockey sticks, however, we assumed this was the Nationals way of showing their support to the Caps. Trying to make up for not showing Caps game during rain delay on Monday?
