The Washington Capitals honored the military on March 4 when Caps hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Caps donated more than 6,000 tickets with corporate assistance and the National Anthem was sung by the Army Chorus of four men -- two of which are very familiar to Caps fans. Bob McDonald and Caleb Green.
Caps wore special Military Night camouflage jerseys during the pre-game warmups which were then autographed and auctioned in a silent auction. A portion of the proceeds benefits the USO, Fischer House, and Wounded Warriors.
Capitals Fans were invited to stop by the Outback Book at Section 102 and fill out a note of Thanks for our Troops. Outback partnered with Operation Homefront to make sure the troops get your message and know how much they are appreciated.
Here are a few photos of the players in their camo jerseys during warmups.
